Happy Valentine's Day!
Today, we took a short drive and walk at Port Williams Beach. It was gray, and the wind was very cold coming off the water from the north, but it was good to get out and see the sights :)
This is a female Bufflehead Duck.We saw both males and females.
Some reddish seaweed - I don't know its name...
I thought this log was spectacular!

That would have been quite a picture! Two ladies carrying a 12ft water soaked log on their shoulders! Maybe next time :)
Something very ancient about our love of the ocean. I was house sitting over the weekend, and at one point, walking the dogs, I could hear the surf, though I could not see it. Very stirring!
