Autumn

Autumn
Lingers close like an old gray, woolen sweater
Silent, damp and dreary weather
How it chills me to the bone...

Autumn
Triggers meloncholy feelings, restless, loss of ease
Lull me fast to sleep, as you do the trees
So I won't feel - winter...

That expresses my sentiments exactly.

I find Autumn thrilling and magnificent, even though it can be chilling and you know the dark is coming with its icy fingers. Your photo fooled me, I thought the grass was full of roses!

Hi Richard, I think many people feel the same around the end of autumn when the dread of winter approaches. Try to stay warm this year!

Oh Sidney, I feel the same thrill in the beginning of the season until we're about 3/4's the way through - like about now :( It gets so cold with the added dampness of Northwest "snow"? (rain!) I took the photo while on my walk yesterday - I was amazed by the vivid color/contrast! Bless you!
